You’ll want to turn this up … way up. Warish are hear to get your pulse racing with their distortion-infused new single “Healter Skelter” from their upcoming Down in Flames album.

For those wondering, the song is not a cover of the Beatles “Helter Skelter,” and the misspelling was on purpose, a reference to the words written in blood by the Manson family.

The SoCal trio came together as the brainchild of singer/guitarist Riley Hawk and drummer Bruce McDonnell. “We wanted to do simpler riffs and a fun live show,” Hawk explains. “A little more punk, a little bit of grunge… a little evil-ish.”

Having released a buzz-generating EP earlier this year, the band is wasting no time in firing up their new full-length. Down in Flames is due Sept. 13 via RidingEasy Records and pre-orders are available at this location. Check out the artwork and track listing below. For those digging, “Healter Skelter,” the track is set to hit digital service providers starting Friday (July 19).
